Magnifico Reader improves the readability of the food labels and helps you with the choice of food and drink.
This is an intelligent magnifying glass which can read, understand the label content and provide a comprehensive explanation of the food additive properties and the possible hazards.
Magnifico Reader works autonomously on a mobile phone (not connected app) and thus protects your privacy.How to use Magnifico Reader:
Get a food pack with one hand.
With the other position the mobile phone to the label.
Take a picture by touching the screen.
The usual distance to get the best autofocus is 10-15 cm.
Now you see a still picture of the food label on the screen.
Magnify a specific area by touching this area on the screen and scroll the screen by dragging the picture.
If you want to check the meaning of a specific food additive on the label keep your finger longer time on this place.
A list with possible choices will appear.
Right side buttons will link you to further information.
A "green apple button" is used for additives which are considered safe.
An orange check mark is used for additives with properties which are not fully understood or some controversial reports exist.
The red cross mark is used for additives considered potentially dangerous from a large number of sources.
When you click on the button you can see a detailed explanation of the additive.
